Welcome to Birkenhead High School's website. In September 2009, we opened our doors as an independent Academy. This transition has an exciting time for the school and signals the next phase in our long history of commitment to excellence in education. We will continue to provide an outstanding education across all phases in all subjects, with mathematics and music being our two specialisms.

At Birkenhead High School we are committed to:

 GCSE Results 2009

We are very pleased to once again announce another wonderful set of results at GCSE level.  59% of all students gained grades A/A* level with 37% of girls achieving straight A/A* grades.  Our overall pass rate at A-C is 96%.

As so many girls gained straight A/A* awards in addition to their ongoing music, sporting and Duke of Edinburgh activities, it is impossible to name individual students so we congratulate them all on their outstanding achievements.
