Birkenhead High School is a non-denominational, non-fee paying, independent girls’ 3-19 academy. Birkenhead High School was founded in 1901 and is now a part of the Girls' Day School Trust (GDST), one of the UK's largest, longest established and most successful independent schools' network.

The GDST is a group of 29 independent schools located throughout England and Wales with over 20,000 pupils.
