We Will Change the Earth We Stand On

Our Termly Project

This term we are raising funds to be able to purchase art materials to decorate the external front wall of Junior school.  The 1.4 x 4.5 metre wall is at road level so is seen daily by parents, carers, visitors to the school and passers-by.  The wall is in desperate need of decoration.

The art materials purchased would be used by Juniors’ girls to create work based on the 6 learner qualities and would adorn the wall.

“Our WW2 Air Raid Shelter Project”
We are raising funds to support our application to the Heritage Lottery Fund. We would like to restore and reopen our World War II underground air raid shelters to make them a piece of living history accessible to our girls, their families, local schools and the community. If you would like further information, please contact the school office.

“Our way of helping out the local community”
You may be aware of the tragic situation seen in the media this week about a local Wirral family, the Bennett’s.  Our school’s charity committee will be in touch after half term with details of how BHSA pupils are helping with this fundraising.  There has been some confusion about holding a non-uniform day and other local girl’s secondary schools have all decided, like BHSA, that other means of fundraising is more appropriate.

There is a national “Just Giving” webpage if you would like to donate to this cause please click here

A big BHSA thank you!
Last term we raised £220 towards our termly project.
Donations for our air raid shelters project continue to come in.
Thank you for all your continued donations and support.
