BHSA is an all-through (3-19 years) state funded academy open to all girls of the area, enjoying the support of our sponsors, the Girls’ Day School Trust. The original Birkenhead High School was founded in 1901, and its successor BHSA is and will continue to be a beacon of excellence in girls’ education.
This is everything that pupils, parents and teachers need to know about this year's GCSE, A level, and vocational and technical qualification results, which are out this week. https://t.co/JQWRUT7L04

On Thursday 18th December we’re inviting students to come to school wearing a Christmas Jumper, helping to spread some festive cheer and support local young people this Christmas with a minimum donation of just 50p via Parent Pay. All money raised will go to The Hive, Wirral’s Youth Zone, which exists to ensure young people across Wirral are supported, happy, and thriving in their community. The Hive offers hot meals, creative activities and vital support to those who need it most – especially during the Christmas season. Just £1 can help provide a hot, healthy meal for two young people this Christmas, making a real difference in our local community.
We are delighted to announce that applications for a place at our Sixth Form are now open for September 2026 entries.
