A huge thank you to everyone who supported today's Hello Yellow campaign, helping to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing across our school community.
It was fantastic to see so many students and staff wearing yellow and showing their support. The amount of yellow on display throughout the day was phenomenal and sent a powerful message that support is available, and nobody has to face difficulties alone.
We are delighted to announce the official opening of Rita’s Round Reading Table in our school quad to honour the beautiful memory of Rita, our much-loved reading support dog. From our youngest 3-year-olds taking their first steps in literacy to our 19-year-olds building confidence, Rita’s gentle presence brought calm, joy, and a lifelong love of reading to students, staff, and parents across all of BHSA.

Isla reached another incredible milestone this week following a successful live interview on BBC Breakfast with hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt.
Demonstrating remarkable confidence, maturity, and poise, Isla handled the high-profile broadcast like a seasoned professional. Her natural camera presence drew high praise from show producers and set a positive tone for the entire morning.

On Thursday 17th September, ten Year 12 students visited London School of Economics (LSE) for the LEAD launch event. The students had a great day attending sessions on negotiation skills, a founder challenge and entrepreneurial skills, along with a keynote speaker session by Shiromi Bedessee, founder of Kin.

We are all very proud of Year 9 student, Isla who was recently featured on BBC Radio Merseyside and nominated for the prestigious BBC Make a Difference Award. Her story highlights her incredible friendship with her older neighbour, Margaret—proving that age is no barrier when it comes to kindness and looking out for one another.
Anna has recently represented Wales at the U14s National Wheelchair Basketball competition at Nottingham University and brought home an incredible Gold Medal.
This year’s GCSE results have been celebrated across the school community, with outcomes across a wide range of subjects showcasing very strong performance and steady progress. BHSA would like to congratulate its students on their perseverance and commitment to learning throughout their time at the school.
