Head of ICT/Computing

Required for September 2021

This is an opportunity for an excellent Head of ICT/Computing to join a beacon of excellence in girls’ education.

The school is looking to add a Head of ICT/Computing to their progressive and supportive department starting in September 2021.

The role will include managing the delivery of the subjects at KS3, GCSE and A-level across year groups 7 to 13.  You will lead your department to enhance provision and will get the chance to lead on exciting project work throughout the year.  Project work may include revising schemes of work and ensuring the curriculum is engaging to all learners alongside projects that support student attainment, well-being and engagement within the wider school.  However, as Head of Department you will have full autonomy to ensure your department meets targets and exceeds the needs of our learners.  You will lead by example, supporting and empowering your department’s teachers and pupils to achieve to the best of their ability.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual eager to make a positive contribution to the aspirational vision for this thriving academy. 

They will be a dynamic and innovative practitioner who is passionate about their subject and the impact it can have on a young person’s development and all-round education.

They will also be someone who values working as part of a team ensuring the highest possible standards of achievement and attainment.
